Community

Friends of Breitenbush Hot Springs is for people who love wild nature and are interested in intentional communities in general and the Breitenbush Hot Springs community in particular. It is for all those people who feel a connection to the values that Breitenbush represents. The focus is to get to know each other over the course of many small events events like hikes and day trips that build community slowly, rather than creating large gatherings that are infrequent and costly.

The intent is to spend time in nature, to interact socially and possibly to learn about living in small intentional communities. Events will be in the Portland Oregon area Initially and include trips to Breitenbush. Hopefully it will evolve into networking people for camping trips in the NW and possibly shared living situations. Please join the Friends of Breitenbush meetup group to be part of the extended community.

“Social media are great for developing community, but for true belonging, real connection
and real empathy require meeting real people in a real space in real time.”  BrenĂ© Brown.
